The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses set new standards in motorcycling. With their head-up display technology, they project relevant information such as navigation, speed and gear number directly into the rider’s field of vision in real time. As a result, they enable a particularly anticipatory and safe riding experience, similar to that in the automotive sector.
Easy connection and customization
The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses can be easily connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth or a smartphone app. The positioning of the projection and the settings can be made before and during the ride via the multicontroller on the handlebars of the motorcycle. In addition, the Smartglasses are adaptable to a variety of helmets and face shapes, ensuring a high level of wearing comfort, even on long tours. The lithium-ion battery enables an operating time of up to ten hours.
Comfort and protection for spectacle wearers
For spectacle wearers, BMW Motorrad offers an RX adapter that allows the smartglasses to be adapted to individual visual acuity. This can be conveniently ordered online via the supplier. In addition, two sets of certified UVA/UVB lenses are included: one set with 85% transparency for helmets with integrated sun visor and one set with tinted lenses that can be used as sunglasses.
Availability and price
The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses will be presented at the BMW Motorrad Days in Berlin on July 7, 2023. They are available in two sizes (M and L), each with different nose pads. The recommended retail price is €690.00.
