Peter Dundas is one of the most sought-after fashion designers in the world. He has worked for renowned labels such as Emilio Pucci, Roberto Cavalli and Emanuel Ungaro and founded his own brand Dundas. His style is glamorous, sexy and extravagant. He dresses stars like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Klum. But who is the man behind the spectacular creations?
Peter Dundas was born in Oslo in 1969. He studied at the Parsons School of Design in New York and began his career as an assistant to Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris.
After working for various brands such as Christian Lacroix and Gianfranco Ferré, he was appointed creative director of Emilio Pucci in 2008. There he developed a distinctive look inspired by the 1970s, jet-set life and exotic travel. He made Pucci a favorite of celebrities and the press.
In 2015, he moved to Roberto Cavalli, where he combined the Italian label’s signature rock ‘n’ roll style with his own elegance and sophistication. Among other things, he designed the stunning dress worn by Beyoncé at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
In 2017, he left Cavalli and founded his own brand, Dundas. He opted for an unconventional business model based on seasonless collections, online distribution and customized services.
His first collection was presented at an exclusive party in Los Angeles, where he dressed his friends such as Emily Ratajkowski, Cindy Crawford and Alessandra Ambrosio. His dresses are known for their dramatic silhouettes, bright colors and intricate details.
