Rebellious course under Jonny Johansson
Creative director Jonny Johansson continues to steer Acne Studios in a direction that is bold, unapologetic and rebellious. Inspired by the idea of putting the season’s superhero figure centre stage, Johansson says he wants to explore empowerment through wearing the “right clothes at the right time”. Visually, the Spring/Summer 2025 collection is cool and sexy – vibes that were already evident in the last collection.
Design inspired by memories
The inspiration for the design comes from nostalgic childhood memories, in which each piece becomes a fashionable expression that carries the innocence of youth into adulthood. Fire and earth meet, shades of tanned orange, cognac and tobacco mingle with powdery blue and candy pink. Black is added in a variety of textures, signalling the versatile nature of colour, from serious to boisterous, and trompe l’oeil jeans return, adorned with candy-coloured plastic chains, graffiti, scuffs and snake patterns.
Colour palette of fire and earth
Although it’s menswear, pop culture femme fatales such as DC’s Wonderwoman, the Huntress, the Drowned Woman and Catwoman feature throughout the collection, with contrasting elements that make each outfit oscillate between age-appropriate attire and unapologetic self-expression. Accessories and shoes reinforce the styling by exploring different extremes. These include a new bag inspired by camera bags, the multi-pocket bag with a used look, the Bowlina bag with stickers and a large selection of boots with metal embellishments and chunky shoes.
